Peer Review Process

This is a peer-reviewed journal so all submissions to the journal will undergo a process of review. However a decision is made on the article within four weeks and as soon as a submission has been accepted, it is published online in the current section. So there is no delay of waiting until the publishing date.

Review process:
1. Upon submission to JHIDC, one of its main editors* will examine the submission to decide if it will be considered for publication by checking whether it is in line with the vision/aims/scope of the journal and to assess whether it is ready to be sent for a formal review. [Usually within 1 week.]
2. When ready to be sent for formal review, the submission will be sent to two reviewers.
3. The review process is blinded and the review will be based on the criteria listed below. [Results expected within 5 weeks of submission.]
4. Review results are to either accept the article as it is, accept it with changes, or to not accept it.

*Main editors are the Editor-in-Chief and the associate editors.

Review criteria:
1. Originality
2. Scientific approach/methodology
3. Significance of topic
